Snacks Rules
Students are permitted to bring snacks from home, but it is encouraged that they are HEALTHY SNACKS and DRINKS. Snacks may be eaten during recess time.
Snacks such as chips, cookies or other items brought with students are allowed after eating their main meal.
To alleviate possible health issues, students are NOT PERMITTED TO SHARE snacks and lunches.
Kuhio Is a Nut-Free School
Peanut and nut allergies are very common and can cause serious illness and possible death.
Students should not bring any items containing nuts or peanut butter to Kuhio School campus. This includes peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, or nuts for snacks.
Please take this into consideration if/when sending treats to Kuhio School for celebrations and holidays. As per the Wellness Policy we encourage healthy treats that are individually wrapped.

Lost/damaged Student ID Badge Policy
Students will be issued a Student Identification budget (ID badge) with their lunch barcode. Students will be required to present the ID badge to purchase lunch at the cafeteria.
If a student loses their ID badge, a temporary badge will be issued from the office.
Replacement badges will be assessed a $5.00 replacement fee.
Damaged badges will be assessed a $5.00 replacement fee.
